By vote of the eligible voting members, AFNA has changed its name from the Associate of Federal Narcotics Agents (AFNA) to the Drug Enforcement Association of Federal Narcotics Agents (DEAFNA).
“This change formalizes our association with the name of the Agency (DEA) we support. Additionally, we believe that this name change will expand the brand of the Association, provide opportunities to increase membership and generate additional financial donations to the AFNA Foundation, resulting in the ability to increase its support of DEA and the broader DEA family. We are confident that this change, adding Drug Enforcement, will make our Association more attractive to current and former employees (potential new members) with the name and likeness of our former agency.”
